Lunar New Year (Tet)
Occurring in late January or early February, depending upon the lunar calendar, the Lunar New Year celebration is one of the years largest.
Residents of Vietnam use this holiday to eat, drink and celebrate while taking time to pay respect to friends and family. Although, Tet is officially a 3 day holiday, celebrations will often continue for more than a full week.
Lim Festival
Organized in the Lim village, located just outside Hanoi, this Northern festival centers around folk music and traditional temple games.
Similar to other religious events, the Lim festival includes a procession as well as ritualistic activities. Thousands of visitors come to enjoy dialogue and musical performance.
Nui Ba Festival
Located in the middle of the MeKong delta, the beautiful mountain of Nui Ba is a must see for any tourist. During the spring, following through to the end of the first lunar month, pilgrims from many southern Vietnamese provinces come to Nui Ba to worship and sight see.
Most tourists end their visit to Nui Ba with a tranquil excursion to the mountain top pagoda. The Nui Ba festival is guaranteed to be both visually stunning and spiritually enlightening.
